Cornelius Nozemns Nederlandshce Vogelen, published between 1770 and 1829, is the
first comprehensive documentation of birds in the Netherlands. The two hundred and
fifty hand colored copperplates were engraved by Jan Sepp, who, like Edwards, places
the subject in a beautiful landscaped setting.
