Born in England at the end of the seventeenth century, this father and dauaghter team produced "The Natural History of Birds" between 1731 and 1738. Published in quarto size, with numerous hand colored engraved illustrations, this volume was the earliest colored study of British birds and one of the first to give credit to the contributions of a woman.
