The Bodenehr family were publishers and engravings of the German town, Augsburg. Gabriel, the Elder, and the Younger, Bodenehr, were from a family tradition of map making. The Elder was a printseller and engraver. Some of the work published under his name were actually the work of the Stridbeck family and were later republished under the name of Kilian.
