Robiljn was a cartographer and illuminator at the height of the golden age of Dutch cartography in the seventeenth century. he eventually went into map publishing, acquiring the copper plates for the maps of Goos & roggeveen from Goos' widdow. He added some new information and his name to the maps and publishe the second edition of Goos' Zee Atlas from 1680-1698.
At his death the plates passed to another map publisher, Loots.
