Joseph Grego was a noted nineteenth century etcher, writer, collector, and art critic working in London in the mid-nineteenth century. He is best known for his collection of contemporary sketchs & graphics from which he engraved views of Londpm society for Capt. Grusnow's gossipy observations of "the camp, court, amd clubs at the end of tje last war with France". He also was noted for his introductions to the works of Rolandson & Cruikshank and was know to be a friend of Whistler.
