Robert Bonfils 80 year life span saw him through major political, social, & artistic changes. A student of the Beaux Arts school or design he exhibited rregularly at the Salon des Atistes Decorateurs during the World War !. In the 1920's his pochoir illustrations could be found in La Gazette de Bon Ton, and other high fashion periodicals. He went on to illustrate Art Deco & Art Moderne books, even designing the bindings for some.
