Not a great deal is known about Samuel Dunn. Certainlky, he was a well known British mathematician and teacher of mathematical sciences but he was also an entrepreneur, cartographer and publisher of maps. In mid eighteenth century England his maps were noteworthy for their incredible accuracy and detail. In 1774 Dunn auhored and pubished his maps in A New Atlas of the Mundane World.
