BIOGRAPHY OF SAMUEL JOHN NEELE
Samuel Neele was a well known engraver whose work was found in many of the late eighteenth century atlases and illustrated accounts of voyages. His maps were considered to be pivotal in moving cartography from an arat to a science. His sons, James and Josiah joined him and continued his engraving business well into the nineteenth century.
