Filoli "History of Botanical Art" Seminar

Lyons Ltd. owner Leila Lyons, along with Gallery Director Dana Conley Lyons, will lead an in-depth study of the rich history of botanical art from its earliest beginnings through the 20th century, including its recent revival and the important role it plays today. Hands-on learning through an exquisite collection of prints, slides and other media will focus on major botanical artists such as Georg Ehret, Ferdinand Bauer and P.J. Redoutè, as well as the study of other historically significant events like the Age of Exploration and major Florilegia.
